2010 Application Cycling KZN Colours Rules

TO QUALIFY FOR YOUR KZN COLOURS YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO DOWNLOAD AN APPLICATION FORM OR THROUGH YOUR CLUB, IT IS YOUR DUTY TO MAKE SURE THAT THIS IS FORWARDED TO THE ROAD COMMISSIONER NO LATER THAN THE 8th OF NOVEMBER 2010 KZN


Road cycling colours may be awarded by Cycling KZN after consideration of the recommendation made by the KZN road commission. A Team manager or club committee may recommend for consideration to the colours committee the award of colours to any person they deem warrant to the honour.


Final recommendations are to be submitted by the end of 8th of November to the road Commissions.

Awards to be made at the annual Awards Evening on the 12th of Nov 2010


1. It is the applicants responsibility to keep records of his positions

2. You need to accumulate 10 points to be awarded KZN colours

3. You can accumulate points over a period of two years, in one age category

4. Poor sportsmanship and disciplinary actions can disqualify you from receiving provincial colours even if you got the required number of points

5. Only riders with Junior and Full Racing licenses can qualify for CKZN colours

 

NAMIBIA TRAINING CAMP WITH DAN CRAVEN

Sonya Kritzinger, Johann Roos and myself Lauren Burnett were honoured to be selected to travel to Namibia to attend the “Nedbank Cymot Cycling Camp driven by Hyundai” on the 22nd and 24th of January 2010.  The training camp was hosted by Dan Craven the “All African Cycle Champion for 2009” in his hometown Omaruru.  He has being riding for nine years with five years overseas racing experience.  He has a love for cycling and by giving back to the community; he hosted this camp to empower the youth cyclists in Namibia and to share his knowledge.
