Why we should ride!

ALLEZ ALLEZ....Ok, so maybe all the hype of TdF (Le Tour de France) has got me in the mood to take my shoes down from the last place that I hung them up...Well, along with flu, work and excuses NOT to ride, I am making a slow progressive comeback.

Although TdF fever is in the air, that is it's not why I am staging my comeback. Psychologically not being able to ride because of being sick is the real reason I want to....NO, HAVE to ride. Blackie Indoor Training
I popped into Cyclelab @ Giba Gorge on Saturday morning early and caught Mr Dean Black secret training. Not even the rain could stop Dean from training, as he took to his indoor trainer and waited for the rain to subside....

Trail riding in your back garden...

E-mail Print PDF
I felt inspired to write about this after reading the MBUK magazine. Mtber's all over the UK are constantly trying to find new routes in their neighbourhood and surrounding areas.

It works like this...

They go out and find a route from their house. They make sure they meet a mate and another prerequisute is that there has to be a coffee shop enroute. The route is then either GPS'd or drawn onto a site where you can check out their routes and ride the same ones.

If anyone would like to join me and ride some routes through parks, gardens etc etc then drop me a mail on This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .

I want to get some awesome trail riding done in our area, and I am sure there is lots of it around.....

See you on the trails.

Brett

May be my lack of knowledge of trail riding bicycles, but I would expect there to be some lockout on these bikes as we need to climb the mountain first to get back down.
