Start saving your hard earned pennies, use them wisely and join us for the first long weekend of 2011 for the most amazing family ride away to Lake Eland (40km from Port Shepstone) from Friday 18th to Monday 21st March. This promises to be an unforgettable weekend of riding and adventure.
Rides will include but are not restricted to the following:
• An Easy 20Km ride on district and game viewing roads to the suspension bridge, caves and back. Magnificent wild life along the way.
• An intermediate 30km ride also on district and game viewing roads down past the dam and back.
• A challenging 30 to 40 km ride also to the dam but incorporating some single and jeep track with a river crossing thrown in.
• Stunning new single track which stretches as far as the eye can see.
Also on offer is a skills clinic which will be divided into beginners, intermediate and advanced which will be run by members of our Sivadia race team.
We will have our qualified health and skin care therapist who offers a back/neck and shoulder massage or a leg massage for only R 100 per half hour session. These sessions will need to be pre - booked and are limited to 5 sessions per afternoon.
Accommodation consists of 5 sleeper log cabins and 2 sleeper log cabins some of which have a verandah that overlooks the dam. Also on offer is smaller 2 sleeper accommodation which is not by the dam, but near the reception area which is about two hundred metres from the Dam. In addition to this, camping facilities are available for those who really want to experience bonding with nature. There will be two camping options – catered and non catered.
Accommodation and all meals from Friday evening to Monday lunch are incorporated in the fantastic price of R 2880 per adult and R 1045 per child (sharing in the 5 sleeper). The 2 sleeper log cabins by the dam are R 2880 per person sharing. The 2 sleeper smaller accommodation is R 1936 per person for the weekend. Tea, coffee & juice are included, but not fizzy drinks or alcohol. Saturday dinner will be a treat of lamb on a spit in the cosy boma complete with bonfire.
Camping costs (catered) are R 1284 per adult and R 914 per child for the whole weekend, or non catered R 595 per adult and R 450 per child for the weekend – the camping non catered option includes guided cycle rides but not the skills clinic, this will cost an additional R 300 per person.
