I must admit when i heard that the World cup of Mountain bikiing was going to be hosted in PMB , i thought , geez why so far from Durban and why reinvent the wheel when we already have places like Giba Gorge that could probably host the event with a lot less effort.
I went up to PMB on saturday morning , I could not believe the infratstucture that had been put together , it was like walking through a european race village , with all the international teams present.I was like a kid in a candy store , seeing all the worlds best men and woman just cruising around on thier bikes. The crowds were quite thin when we arrived , however that soon changed , it was buzing with thousands of people who had come to get a glimse of the worlds best MTBikers
Well done to eveyone involved in the event , you guys really pulled it off and did SA proud ,
Well done to Burry , Rourke and Greg, you did the country proud , to have South Africans on the podium made it even more special for everyone who attended the event.
We are looking forward to the next time we host the world cup of Mountain biking , i am sure that the event will be even bigger and better next time.
