Darren Goddard and Ryan Redman won the first Muddy Buddy event of the Series (26 July 2009), finishing over 3 min ahead of the second placed team. Over 250 adventurous competitors took to the starting line to test their team’s fitness over an exciting and fun Muddy Buddy Course. Adventure racers, Darren Goddard and Ryan Redman lead the first Muddy Buddy event from start to finish, completing the 5km Trail run, 12km mountain bike and mud pit and obstacle course in a time of 00:57:25.
The spirit of adventure was just as present in the Mini Muddy Buddy and Muddy Kids Categories. In the Muddy Kids Section it was the home grown Team Giba that took the win followed closely by the Handsome Hunks and Jeep Guys teams. The Muddy Kids Section was won by the Speed Demons team of Keagan Hosken and Jason Burgess. A fitting name to a winning team!
